Land and Sea : Bethan Nadin

A series of large acrylic on canvas paintings aiming to capture the land and sea of the Northern Highlands where I grew up. Now living in the Peak District, I love to return to the Highlands to run, climb, cycle, kayak, explore. The huge, open and dramatic landscapes make me feel at home, and being immersed in this landscape evokes emotions and memories like no other place. My paintings aim to show these emotions through scale, colour and detail. And hopefully they bring a sense of place that captures what is so special about the Highlands to me and to many others who have a connection here.
