"The coastal villages and people of the Highlands provide all the colours, shapes and textures needed. The hills and sea, beaches and crofts, trees and birds, people and dogs are all part of the landscape. Distinctive regional characteristics are inspiring, and when the seasons change it all changes."
Lynne, born and brought up on the Lleyn Peninsula in north Wales, now lives in Lochcarron, in the north-west of Scotland. She arrived there via Dundee and Edinburgh, where she studied and taught art, so has a lifetime of coastal living experience to call on for this exhibition.
Lovely and fresh, these contemporary works in colourful oils are full of texture, careful observation and well worth a look.
