New talent always catches our attention, and we aim to support emerging artists. Lian Dodd lives in Dingwall, and when she approached us to show her work inspired by the Cromarty Firth, we just knew this exhibition was for us.
This is self-taught Lian's first ever show, and she invites you to join her informally at Alchemist Gallery on Saturday 7th May 2022, anytime between 3pm - 5pm. The ever-changing shores of the body of water that stretches from Cromarty to Dingwall, is a wild landscape, full of energy, and she looks forward to sharing the inspiration for the pieces on show with you.
Lian's exhibition, 'Capturing the Firth', in acrylic and oil paint is now open to the public and runs until 14th June 2022 at Alchemist Gallery, Dingwall.
"My home looks out onto this impressive Firth and this landscape inspires me daily. I'm extremely lucky to have such a connection to this area and so feel that it's magic deserves its own series of work."
