When in the Inverness area on tired days after bigger walks my family often drive up a hill, Knock Farrel, winding up through houses to reach a saddle between 2 low tops one of which has a vitrified fort. Once at this point you can walk along the top of the hill to either side seeing the views in all directions. Of course you can walk up the hill too but then you would miss seeing the selection of eclectic houses and gardens on route. But the star is the view out across the farmland to the hills beyond. Most prominently Ben Wyvis. I have sat and looked at this view many, many times and I love the way the patch work fields lead you to the mountains beyond. It took many years to reach the point that I felt I could make a piece of work that would do the view justice, hopefully this is it.
