Crovie Storm - print by Sandy Gracie
A3 print in a cream mount. Overall size: 507mm W x 405mm H including mount. From an original by Dingwall based Sandy Gracie.
With its back against high cliffs and the sea literally on its doorstep, a storm in Crovie can range from exciting to terrifying. In 1953 gales and a mountainous spring tide battered these homes for 17 hours, causing people to flee out the back of their houses and up the banks. Many never returned to live where survival had always been a battle with nature. Now it is more a village of fair weather recreation than viable toil.
From a limited edition run of only 20 prints, each signed by the artist.
