A Cromarty Welcome by Sandy Gracie
Original pen and acrylic. Framed size 41cm W x 41cm H. White painted wood frame.
Cromarty, at the mouth of the Firth which shares its name, sits at the very tip of the Black Isle. The small harbour and streets have been welcoming people and trade from other nations for over 700 years, with livelihoods and fluctuating fortunes depending on the sea, and surrounding farm land.
As well as featuring in the shipping forecast, it is now the Highlands' best preserved historic town, and continues to welcome those who appreciate for it’s enduring charm.
