'As an artist living in the Highlands, I'm inspired by the sea, mountains and landscapes. The wide open skies here are sources of endless sketches and paintings, with a light that changes constantly, along with the weather. Skyscapes are a focus of much of my art, along with the coast and the landscape of Scotland.

As a sea kayaker and adventurous spirit, I try to capture moments in time based on photographs and sketchbooks. In my studio, impressions are translated onto canvas in oil and acrylic ink, but you may also find me painting with watercolour plein air. My training as an archaeological illustrator influences my work with many lines, layers and detail.  Art brings me a sense of mindfulness and stillness, and is a joy to create and share.'
