This is a view looking from the beach at Dingwall out towards the Cromarty Bridge to the east. This painting is a celebration of the colour and texture along the Firth on a winter’s day - bright and sunny, it lit up the shoreline and water and created reflections in the snow. It’s a reminder to stop and look carefully to appreciate the changing colours, to look out and breath in the Wild Landscape and notice the beauty around. I felt a huge sense of freedom when I stood here and looked at this view. I felt the power of the earth beneath my feet and total freedom with every breath. I was grounded in this moment. This painting holds the power of the Firth at winter, displaying its stories, colour and energy.
