Crovie Dawn - print by Sandy Gracie
A4 print in a cream mount. Overall size: 277mm W x 345mm H including mount. From an original by Dingwall based Sandy Gracie.
Although now beautifully preserved, where vehicle access remains impossible, the fishing village of Crovie is perhaps one of the harshest examples of land clearance in 18th century Scotland. It is hard to believe displaced people managed to both build and survive on this narrow ledge, between dominant cliffs and rocky foreshore. Former dawns would have seen them braving the North Sea to fish. It remains very much a place of strong emotions.
From a limited edition run of only 20 prints, each signed by the artist.
